Head of Base — Aleppo

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is urgently seeking a Head of Base for its Aleppo operations to provide overall leadership for programme delivery, operations, security, and team management in Aleppo governorate. The role oversees ACF's nutrition, food security, WASH, and mental health programmes in the area and is a member of ACF Syria's leadership team.

• Provide operational leadership across all ACF programmes in Aleppo governorate
• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team across programme and support functions
• Oversee security management, staff safety, and incident response protocols
• Manage the Aleppo base budget and ensure financial compliance
• Represent ACF to local authorities, donors, and humanitarian coordination bodies
• Support proposal development and donor reporting for Aleppo programmes
• Ensure adherence to ACF, donor, and humanitarian standards

• Minimum 5 years humanitarian experience, with 2+ years in a similar leadership role
• Experience managing multi-sector teams in complex emergency contexts
• Strong security management and decision-making skills
• Budget management and donor compliance experience
• Fluent English required; Arabic a strong asset
• Experience in Syria or Middle East context preferred
