About this Role

UNRWA Syria seeks a Field Office Engineer to supervise engineering and construction projects at UNRWA facilities serving Palestinian refugees across Syria. The role involves planning, managing, and quality-controlling rehabilitation and construction works at schools, health centres, and community facilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise construction and rehabilitation works at UNRWA facilities
Prepare Bills of Quantities, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Monitor contractor progress, quality standards, and safety compliance on site
Review and certify payment requests from contractors
Prepare engineering reports and project documentation
Coordinate with programme teams on infrastructure requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
Minimum 3 years field experience in construction supervision
AutoCAD and MS Project proficiency
Knowledge of construction standards and materials
Fluent Arabic; working English required for technical documentation
