About this Role
UNRWA Syria seeks a Dental Surgeon to deliver comprehensive dental care services to Palestinian refugees at UNRWA health centres in the Damascus and South Area. The role involves clinical diagnosis, treatment, and preventive dental services within UNRWA's Primary Health Care programme.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, extractions, fillings, and scaling
- Diagnose and treat dental and oral diseases in accordance with clinical protocols
- Deliver preventive dental health education to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Ensure sterilisation and hygiene standards in the dental unit
- Refer complex cases to specialist services as required
Requirements
- Degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent) from a recognised institution
- Valid registration with the Syrian Dental Association
- Clinical experience in a primary health care setting preferred
- Commitment to UNRWA's humanitarian mandate and professional ethics
- Fluent Arabic; working English an asset
