Driver

OHCHR Syria seeks a Driver (G-3) on a fixed-term basis to provide reliable and safe transportation for OHCHR personnel and official cargo across Damascus and field locations. The role supports OHCHR's human rights monitoring operations in Syria and requires handling of sensitive UN documents and materials.

• Operate UN vehicles transporting OHCHR staff and official cargo safely and efficiently
• Handle airport transfers, inter-city travel, and field mission logistics
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and trip reports
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report deficiencies
• Handle and deliver sensitive documents and materials with discretion
• Comply with UN security protocols and safe driving standards at all times

• Valid Syrian driver's licence (minimum 5 years)
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
• Knowledge of Damascus and surrounding governorate road networks
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
• Fluent Arabic; basic English required for communication with UN staff
• Reliability, discretion, and professional conduct
