Job Purpose
Incident reporting & analysis, offering proactive measures on safety and security, context analysis, staff training, improvements on existing systems of staff tracking, vehicle movement, communications, and security/contingency planning. Humanitarian Access and Security Officer will ensure context and risk analysis are conducted and risk mitigation measures are put in place as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing immediate incident reports to the management and concerned staff.
- Investigating and following up on security incidents where IYD staff or assets are involved.
- Ensure that all necessary staff is educated on the use of security measures as needed and conduct periodic checks to ensure systems are functioning.
- Utilize the Security Management Plans, Contingency Plans, and SOPs and ensure that equipment and personnel are in place to support all plans (this includes re-location, hibernation, and evacuation plans).
- Maintaining high levels of oversight for physical security issues at offices and guest houses, including COVID-19 precautions.
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that IYD staff can maintain access to program areas.
- Conducting security assessments of offices, warehouses, venues, and guesthouses in collaboration with the related staff.
- Update the security incidents database and maps.
- Conduct regular meetings with designated staff to ensure safety & security concerns are being met.
- Produce daily/weekly/Bi-weekly and monthly security reports.
- Monitoring SOPs, supporting the development of new procedures to match security challenges and operational realities as they present.
- Track safety-related incidents and developments in NW Syria.
- Performs other assigned tasks within the overall scope of his/her role.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in related fields.
- One to two years of professional humanitarian access and security experience.
