JOB TITLE: Midwife

DEPARTMENT: Program

LOCATION: Syria – Hama – (Zayzun - Jerniyeh -Hawash and Kafr Nabutha PHC

JOB TYPE: Full-Time / Project Staff

Scope of Responsibilities

Midwives support the provision of healthcare services to mothers and pregnant women before, during, and after childbirth, ensuring their safety and the safety of their newborns. They monitor normal pregnancies, provide care during labor and delivery, and track the health of both mother and child. They also offer health guidance and education related to pregnancy and breastfeeding. Furthermore, they adhere to medical protocols and quality standards, and coordinate with the medical team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and safe care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women in accordance with clinical guidelines.

2. Provide family planning services and consultations.

3. Maintain accurate patient records and submit reports on time.

4. Conduct health education sessions for women, families, and local communities on maternal, newborn, and child health.

5. Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control procedures.

Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or Nursing with a valid midwifery license/certificate.

2. Minimum of two years of experience.

3. Proficiency in computer skills and experience with healthcare databases and applications.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Ability to work under pressure.
