The services include carrying out installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance works in response to emergency breakdowns for all equipment related to the cold chain, in a manner that ensures the following:
• Preserving the effectiveness and quality of vaccines by ensuring temperature stability within the recommended ranges.
• Reducing equipment downtime and minimizing vaccine losses.
• Enhancing the sustainability of the cold chain infrastructure operation.
• Improving the operational efficiency of equipment and technical systems in health facilities.
• Supporting local technical capacities of health sector staff in the fields of operation and maintenance.
1. Installation and commissioning:
• Receiving new equipment and ensuring it is free of damage or defects.
• Installing equipment in accordance with approved technical specifications.
• Carrying out the required electrical and mechanical connections.
2. Operation and monitoring:
• Continuously monitoring the operational performance of the equipment.
• Verifying the stability and reliability of power sources.
• Following up on temperature levels inside cold chain equipment.
3. Maintenance:
• Implementing approved preventive maintenance schedules.
• Replacing damaged parts with approved spare parts.
• Restarting and testing equipment after repair.
Response to breakdowns must take place within a period not exceeding 24 hours from the time they are reported.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree – or equivalent – in one of the following specializations:
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the field of operation and maintenance.
• Experience in refrigeration systems or power/energy systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to use technical measuring devices and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work with solar energy systems and their components.
