About this Role

Humanity & Inclusion (HI) is seeking a Regional Grants Officer for its Mashriq Programme, which covers Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, and Syria. The Regional Grants Officer will strengthen HI's resource mobilisation and donor engagement efforts by ensuring development of high-quality project proposals, accurate donor reporting, and compliance with donor obligations throughout the project cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate proposal development processes — manage retro-planning, coordinate with HQ and National Associations, facilitate kick-off meetings, and ensure on-time submission
  • Ensure coherence between operational aspects, MEAL, technical approaches, and budgeting in proposals
  • Provide guidance and support on proposal narrative writing, ensuring compliance with donor instructions
  • Prepare and monitor reporting retro-planning; verify donor templates and liaise with country missions and HQ on donor report requirements
  • Ensure compliance with donor contractual obligations throughout the project cycle
  • Support country teams in institutional communication and maintain strong strategic relationships with donors
  • Update the CRM to monitor proposals and opportunities; ensure systematic and timely archiving

Requirements

  • Degree in International Development, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in grants management, proposal development, or donor reporting with an NGO
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English; French or Arabic is an asset
  • Experience with major humanitarian donors (ECHO, USAID, UN agencies, etc.)
  • Proficiency in project management tools and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of HI/disability-inclusive programming is an advantage
  • Experience working in the Middle East region preferred
