About this Role

INSO is recruiting Deputy Safety Advisors to support humanitarian operations across Syria. Based in Raqqa with potential mobility across Damascus, Aleppo, and Qamishli, the role assists the Safety Advisor in delivering INSO's core safety services to NGO partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support incident tracking, security analysis, and report preparation
  • Manage databases and maintain accurate field data across Syrian governorates
  • Conduct security assessments and field monitoring activities
  • Coordinate with NGO partners and humanitarian organizations
  • Assist with crisis management and partner engagement activities
  • Prepare briefings and security updates for INSO members

Requirements

  • Experience in humanitarian organizations in security, safety, or access roles
  • Strong analytical and report-writing abilities
  • Fluent English and Arabic (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Syrian security and conflict dynamics
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel essential)
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, humanitarian affairs, or related field
  • National staff position — must be legally eligible to work in Syria
