Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) Adviser Syria

NRC seeks a Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) Adviser to mainstream protection across its humanitarian programs in Syria. The adviser will localise SIP content, maintain safety standards, institutionalise best practices, and provide technical support to NRC field teams across Syria.

Key Responsibilities

• Mainstream protection and safe programming across all NRC Syria programme areas
• Localise SIP toolkit and standards within NRC Syria Response Office programmes
• Provide technical support and capacity building to field teams
• Lead quality assurance and strategy integration for SIP activities
• Monitor and reduce protection risks faced by beneficiaries and staff
• Identify and document best practices in community engagement and SIP

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of senior-level experience in protection mainstreaming, safe programming, or humanitarian programmes
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred)
• Demonstrated expertise leading SIP/protection activities and community engagement
• Knowledge of global protection standards and humanitarian principles
• Fluency in English; Arabic desirable
• Understanding of Syria conflict context and Middle East regional dynamics
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Syria
