Senior Project Officer — Damascus

Search for Common Ground (SFCG) seeks two Senior Project Officers in Damascus, Syria to lead peacebuilding and community dialogue project implementation. 12-month fixed-term position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in the planning and implementation of project activities in participatory approach with the project team
• Support senior management in designing and executing capacity-building initiatives and dialogue sessions
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and partnership management with civil society organizations
• Oversee day-to-day project operations including financial compliance and activity documentation
• Lead workshop and training event organization across multiple Syrian governorates

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years experience, preferably in NGO settings
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sociology, Communication, Political Science, or International Affairs
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic
• Project management expertise including budgeting and logical frameworks
• Experience working in conflict-affected environments
