About this Role

UNICEF Syria seeks a WASH Officer (NO-2, Fixed Term) in Aleppo to support programme development and implementation of WASH interventions in the Syrian Arab Republic.

Key Responsibilities

Programme development and planning for WASH interventions
Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results
Technical and operational support for programme implementation
Humanitarian WASH preparedness and response
Networking and partnership building with government and NGO partners
Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

Requirements

University degree in engineering, public health, social sciences, environmental health, or related technical fields
Minimum 2 years in WASH, programme management, water supply, sanitation, humanitarian response, or monitoring/evaluation
Fluency in English and Arabic is required
Programme management, monitoring and evaluation, and report preparation skills
