About this Role

DRC seeks 6 Humanitarian Mine Action Team Members in Aleppo to conduct EORE sessions and non-technical surveys. Fixed-term until 31 December 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct direct and online EORE sessions for adults, adolescents, and children
  • Distribute educational materials to communities
  • Identify hazardous areas through desk studies, community engagement, and field observations using GPS and mapping equipment
  • Maintain relationships with local authorities and participate in team meetings
  • Ensure integrated approaches across DRC sectors

Requirements

  • Certificate from recognized Mine Action Training Establishment in NTS/EORE
  • Knowledge of mines and UXO encountered in Syria and basic EO recognition
  • Proficiency with topography, mapping, GPS, and range finders
  • Fluent in Arabic and English
  • At least one year prior NTS or community liaison experience desirable
