About this Role

DRC seeks Humanitarian Mine Action Team Members (EORE/NTS x4) to identify hazardous areas and deliver risk education to communities in Aleppo. 12-month contract with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess hazardous areas through non-technical survey to enable community return and land use
  • Supervise marking of contaminated areas to reduce casualties
  • Deliver Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) sessions to communities, including adults, adolescents, and children
  • Conduct community liaison activities and support EORE material development
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure quality compliance

Requirements

  • NTS/EORE training certification from recognized institution
  • Knowledge of mines and UXO in Syria
  • Topography and map skills; GPS/compass proficiency
  • Excellent knowledge of topography and map drawing
  • MS Office competency; fluent Arabic and English
  • 1+ year NTS or community liaison experience desirable
