About this Role
DRC seeks Humanitarian Mine Action Team Members (EORE/NTS x4) to identify hazardous areas and deliver risk education to communities in Aleppo. 12-month contract with possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess hazardous areas through non-technical survey to enable community return and land use
- Supervise marking of contaminated areas to reduce casualties
- Deliver Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) sessions to communities, including adults, adolescents, and children
- Conduct community liaison activities and support EORE material development
- Maintain accurate records and ensure quality compliance
Requirements
- NTS/EORE training certification from recognized institution
- Knowledge of mines and UXO in Syria
- Topography and map skills; GPS/compass proficiency
- Excellent knowledge of topography and map drawing
- MS Office competency; fluent Arabic and English
- 1+ year NTS or community liaison experience desirable
