About this Role

INSO seeks a Human Resources Officer to manage HR operations at its Damascus office in Syria. This is a national staff position requiring legal residency and work authorization in Syria. 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure HR internal policies and procedures are compliant with local labour laws
  • Monitor probation periods and contract expirations
  • Support full recruitment cycle activities including interviews and onboarding
  • Maintain HR files and manage HRIS data accuracy
  • Oversee employee records including visa, work permit, and emergency documentation
  • Assist with leave planning and employee relations matters

Requirements

  • 5+ years HR field experience, preferably in NGOs
  • Proficient command of both English and Arabic languages
  • Knowledge of Syrian employment law
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or related field
  • Microsoft Office and HRIS proficiency
