About this Role

UNFPA Syria seeks a national consultant to assess the local market and support UNFPA's procurement strategy by pre-qualifying vendors and building a supplier database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invite suppliers to express interest in registering with the UNFPA Syria supplier database
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and update the database with current information
  • Develop market-rate pricing lists for UNFPA supplies
  • Conduct site visits to verify production capacity, certifications, and financial status
  • Analyse supplier profiles and prepare a final assessment report with recommendations

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain, procurement, or marketing
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards (GMP/GDP)
  • Prior UN agency market assessment experience is an advantage

Contract: Individual Consultancy, 20 working days over 2 months | Deadline: 24 May 2026
