Consultant – Gender Transformative Toolkit Development

About this Role
UNFPA Syria seeks a national consultant to create and implement a Gender Transformative Toolkit tailored to Syria's context. The consultancy spans 3 months (60 working days), combining remote and in-person work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and stakeholder consultations with civil society and women-led organisations
- Produce an inception report and develop the toolkit framework with practical guidance and audit tools
- Develop implementation guides and monitoring mechanisms
- Deliver training to approximately 10 organisations and conduct organisational capacity assessments
- Produce all deliverables in both Arabic and English
Requirements
- Master's degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in gender equality work
- Expertise in gender equality frameworks and experience developing training materials
- Knowledge of the Syrian context and experience working with women-led organisations
- Fluency in Arabic and English
Contract: Individual Consultancy, 60 working days over 3 months | Deadline: 31 May 2026
