WHO Syria seeks a Public Health Officer (NO-C) based in Aleppo to support the Health Emergencies Programme and build Member State capacity for managing health emergency risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and assess public health surveillance systems
- Conduct risk analysis for epidemic and health threats
- Manage capacity-building initiatives and training programmes for health personnel
- Coordinate weekly meetings with partners and produce progress reports
- Lead technical working groups and support disease outbreak prevention and control
Requirements
- University degree in Medicine or Public Health
- Minimum 5 years of public health and sector coordination experience
- Expert fluency in English and Arabic
- Capacity-building expertise and emergency response knowledge

Salary: USD 28,828 annually + 30 days annual leave | Fixed-term, 1 year
