About this Role
DRC seeks a Sub-National Mine Action Coordinator to support coordination of mine action partners at the sub-national level in South Syria, based in Damascus.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Mine Action sector in sub-national coordination meetings and forums
- Convene and facilitate regular coordination meetings among mine action actors
- Collect and share information on contamination, incidents, and operational developments
- Support integration of mine action into area-based humanitarian response
- Maintain communication with the national coordination team
Requirements
- 3–5 years of humanitarian coordination or mine action experience
- University degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Professional fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
- Understanding of humanitarian coordination systems and mine action principles
- Ability to work independently while maintaining neutrality
Contract: 6 months with possible extension | Expected start: 1 July 2026 | Salary: Grade 2 (DRC scale)
