Protection Team Leader – Rural Damascus

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) seeks a Protection Team Leader to manage protection activities and supervise Protection Field Assistants in Rural Damascus.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor protection programmes in Rural Damascus
• Manage and support a team of Protection Field Assistants
• Maintain financial oversight and reporting for protection activities
• Ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding standards
• Liaise with local authorities, communities, and partner organisations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the UN/NGO sector
• Team management experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
• University degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field
• Fluent spoken and written Arabic; strong English proficiency
• Knowledge of international protection standards and child protection programming

Contract: Fixed-term until 31 December 2026
